Villa D'Este. It is a hidden treasure in Italy. Villa D'Este is a villa and garden located in Tivoli, Italy.
It was built in the 1500's by the governor of Italy at the time. He was made governor by the Pope, which meant he could not leave his town. So he was basically banished to the town. So he got creative and built a beautiful hanging garden (meaning steep) with water features that were powered by water, not electricity or other means.
